Holiday Overview

Join the Clubmates crew for the largest and loudest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere. The Clubmates tour bus rolls into Tamworth, home of country music, where the top country artists of today and yesteryear gather to put on a barnstorming 3000 events and gigs over 10 days. You'll get the chance to meet some of your heroes as we pick out the best events that this iconic festival has to offer.

Dust off your cowboy hat, slip into those well-worn jeans, and we’ll see you soon.

Highlights

  • Get into the swing of things with a walk down the famous Country Mile. The Mile narrates the fascinating story of the music and artists that have helped shape Australian country music over the years. You’ll also learn about the stories behind the memorabilia on show and why they represent the heart of country music.

  • Join in with the festivities on Peel Street – known as the Boulevard of Dreams during the Tamworth Festival –  and listen to some of the most talented buskers in the country. It is thought that over 600 buskers line the streets throughout the festival, and artists such as Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Kasey Chambers were discovered here.

  • Visit Nundle, home to the last working woollen mill in Australia. The Old Woollen Mill is operational and is still creating traditional knitted fashion garments today (available to buy at the shop).

  • Relive the 19th-century gold rush at the Underground Mine Museum. You’ll get to see the 120-metre underground mine and learn about the ghost of Cranky Jack.

  • The Tamworth Festival boasts nearly 3000 gigs in 80 venues. We try to visit as many as possible during the holiday, including some terrific performances at the DAG Sheep Station and the Atrium.

Holiday Overview

Join Clubmates for a closer look at nature in northern New South Wales. Interact with the area’s playful land and marine life, walk around Woolgoogla Lake on a bushtucker search, and explore the hidden wonders of Sea Acres National Park with a guided tour from one of the park's experienced rangers.

Highlights

  • Witness the impressive high-flying acrobatic show performed by the dolphins of Pet Porpoise Pool in Coffs Harbour. After the show, you’ll be able to meet the dolphins and sea lions face-to-face.

  • Take a relaxed walk around Woolgoolga Lake on a bushtucker tour. Greg, your friendly tour guide, will point out the local wildlife and teach you how to catch some bushtucker, just like Aboriginal tribes used to do in this area. You’ll also learn the fascinating story of ‘The Buster’ shipwreck.

  • Witness the endangered snow leopards of Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park, and enjoy a number of shows throughout the day, such as Reptiles Close-up and Monkey Feeding. You'll also see the park’s crocodiles, lizards, and snakes – including the world’s deadliest snake, the Inland Taipan.

  • Escape from the crowds at Sea Acres National Park. Enjoy the tranquility of one of the largest national parks on the east coast, and learn about its hidden secrets as we take a tour with one the park's discovery rangers

  • Make the most of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and swim with sharks at Australian Shark & Ray. Hop into the aquarium with some of the Tawny Nurse and White Spotted sharks and see these misunderstood animals for what they really are. Afterwards, you can feed the rays and fairy penguins in the park's interactive zones.
