Holiday Overview

Join the Clubmates crew for the largest and loudest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere. The Clubmates tour bus rolls into Tamworth, home of country music, where the top country artists of today and yesteryear gather to put on a barnstorming 3000 events and gigs over 10 days. You'll get the chance to meet some of your heroes as we pick out the best events that this iconic festival has to offer.

Dust off your cowboy hat, slip into those well-worn jeans, and we’ll see you soon.

  • Get into the swing of things with a walk down the famous Country Mile. The Mile narrates the fascinating story of the music and artists that have helped shape Australian country music over the years. You’ll also learn about the stories behind the memorabilia on show and why they represent the heart of country music.

  • Join in with the festivities on Peel Street – known as the Boulevard of Dreams during the Tamworth Festival –  and listen to some of the most talented buskers in the country. It is thought that over 600 buskers line the streets throughout the festival, and artists such as Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Kasey Chambers were discovered here.

  • Visit Nundle, home to the last working woollen mill in Australia. The Old Woollen Mill is operational and is still creating traditional knitted fashion garments today (available to buy at the shop).

  • Relive the 19th-century gold rush at the Underground Mine Museum. You’ll get to see the 120-metre underground mine and learn about the ghost of Cranky Jack.

  • The Tamworth Festival boasts nearly 3000 gigs in 80 venues. We try to visit as many as possible during the holiday, including some terrific performances at the DAG Sheep Station and the Atrium.
